Transcript Requests

You may make an online transcript request through Parchment Exchange.

Help Francis Marion Go Green– Parchment saves paperwork by allowing you to conveniently submit transcript requests online.

• Allow 2-3 business days for transcripts to be processed.
• All requests placed through parchment are for official documents.
• Please provide both your maiden and married name to help us locate your complete academic record.
• After placing your order via Parchment, you may track the progress of your order with a DID.
• You will still have the option to order a printed and mailed official copy regardless to when you attended.
• Please allow up to 3-5 days during peak request times, such as the end of each semester.
• An official transcript includes the school name, school seal, and the Registrar’s signature whether it is in pdf or hardcopy form.
• Official transcripts are used for final admission into colleges/universities/academic programs or as requested by employers.
• If you order a transcript before final grades (including “W’s”) post, the Registrar’s office is not responsible for incomplete transcripts. Be sure to place your order after all grades are posted or place your order with a “hold for grades” status.

Online Unofficial Requests

• Requests for unofficial electronic transcripts as well as official hardcopies can be made through the FMU Marketplace.
• Please provide both your maiden and married name to help us locate your complete academic record.
• There is a $9.00 fee per copy of your transcript. Please allow 1-3 days for there requests to be processed.
• Please be aware that an unofficial transcript does not include the school name, school seal, or the Registrar’s signature. It will either be provided via a pdf with a white background or a hardcopy on plain white cardstock paper.
• Unofficial transcripts are ideal for personal use and for preliminary review by institutions, establishments, or employers that do not require official documents.
• Parchment is the only option that offers official electronic transcripts.
• If you order a transcript before final grades (including “W’s”) post, the Registrar’s office is not responsible for incomplete transcripts. Be sure to place your order after all grades are posted or place your order with a “hold for grades” status.

Transcript Request Form

• You may make a written request by printing and mailing us the Transcript Request Form.
• All transcripts whether official or unofficial are $9.00 each. Official transcripts are sealed and embossed with a gold Registrar’s seal with the option to be mailed. Official transcripts cannot be sent electronically when ordered with the transcript request form. Unofficial transcripts are issued to the student by mail, fax or email.
• Please provide both your maiden and married name to help us locate your complete academic record.
• Transcript requests are generally honored within 2-3 business days upon receipt into the Registrar’s Office. Please allow for exception during the May and December grading periods. Every effort is made to process requests promptly. Transcripts are not processed over the weekend.

• When ordering transcripts, please keep in mind that the university is closed for the extended periods listed below:
• The university is closed July 4 for Independence Day
• The university is closed Nov. 25 – 26 for the Thanksgiving holiday.
• The university is closed December 22 – December 31 for Winter break.
• Transcript requests will not be processed during these times.
